Offering "real time" water quality measurement, the TrojanOptiView™ gives the user a powerful tool to optimze UV system performance

TrojanOptiview™

The TrojanOptiView™ provides online measurement of ultraviolet light transmittance (UVT) of a source water flowing through a UV reactor.

TRANSMITTANCE

Transmittance, in terms of water treatment, is the ability of light to travel through water, or more specifically, the fraction of a given amount of light that can be measured through water at a given point. UV light transmittance, or UVT, is a critical factor in the delivery of dose in a UV reactor. The delivered dose is determined by, among other things, the UVT of the source water, the intensity of the lamps, and the flow rate.

VARIATIONS

Potential changes in UVT need to be incorporated into the operating parameters of a system in order to ensure optimized dose delivery. UVT can be affected by many factors, from a simple change in the seasons to storm events. The TrojanOptiView™ provides a way to react to changing UVT and a method to optimize delivered dose.

CONstant measurement

The TrojanOptiView™, online UVT, is a device that measures the ultraviolet transmittance of source water at a wavelength of 254 nm. The output of this measure is adjusted to a percentage transmittance output corresponding to a layer of fluid path length. The OptiView is designed to provide the system operator with a constant measurement of the UVT. This enables the operator to reduce operational costs related to ongoing sampling of UVT and gives one the ability to incorporate the data within the operational functions in real time. The OptiView also provides to the system operator a method to ensure regulatory compliance by providing critical data, quickly. The OptiView provides confidence for today’s system operator.

The OptiView can be purchased with a TrojanUVSwift™TrojanUVSwift™SC, TrojanUVLogic™ or as a stand-alone unit.
